Welcome to the world of Italian Drunken Noodles, a sensational gastronomic journey that will teleport your taste buds to the very core of Italy!

This recipe is a feast for the senses, initiating with the enticing aroma of sizzling Italian sausage browning in the skillet, laying the flavor foundation for the dish. The scent itself is enough to rouse your culinary anticipation. The cooking journey continues with a vivid trio of red, yellow, and orange bell peppers, bringing a splash of color and a subtly sweet counterbalance to the hearty sausage.

The magic doesn’t stop there! A generous splash of white wine introduces an elegant tartness, its unique flavor profile seamlessly merging with the existing ingredients. As the wine reduces, it leaves behind a pleasingly faint note, enhancing the overall taste spectrum of the dish. As this flavorful concerto reaches its peak, diced tomatoes, flavored with Italian herbs, red chili flakes, and seasoned with salt and pepper, join the performance. The sauce gently simmers, allowing these diverse flavors to intermingle and amplify into a symphony of taste.

The performance’s climax sees the return of the Italian sausage, reuniting with the spectrum of flavors it initially instigated. A sprinkle of fresh parsley adds a touch of crisp freshness and vivid color, further tantalizing the senses. As the flavors fuse harmoniously, it’s time to introduce the star of the show: egg noodles. These are cooked to an al dente perfection, ready to absorb the vibrant sauce and fully integrate with the symphony of ingredients. The result is a sensory experience in every bite, with the medley of flavors and textures creating a dance on your palate.

1 tbsp. olive oil (divided).
1 pound of Italian sausage.
1 tsp. of salt.
Freshly ground pepper.
1/2 cup each of red, yellow, and orange bell peppers.
1/4 cup of thinly sliced onion.
2 minced garlic cloves.
1 tsp. of Italian seasoning.
1/2 tsp. of red pepper flakes.
1/2 cup of white wine.
1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes (undrained).
2 tbsp. of chopped fresh parsley.
12 oz. egg noodles.
In a large skillet, heat half the olive oil and brown the Italian sausage. Once browned, set the sausage aside.
In the same skillet, heat the remaining oil. Sauté the onions, bell peppers, and garlic until aromatic. This typically takes about 3 minutes.
Pour the white wine into the skillet, and simmer until almost fully evaporated, allowing the flavors to enhance and concentrate.
Stir in the diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Allow this mixture to simmer for about 10 minutes for the flavors to blend and the sauce to thicken slightly.
Return the browned Italian sausage to the skillet, along with the chopped parsley. Mix well to incorporate the sausage and parsley into.
